RSD stands for Record Store Day Releases. It is a global event that takes place twice a year (usually in April and November on RSD Black Friday) where artists and record labels release special, rare or new versions of albums – especially for independent record stores. Limited edition records, special vinyl colors, rare and previously unreleased recordings, reissues of classic albums, etc. The goal of the event is to support independent record stores and attract new and old audiences to love records.
