Release Date: 27.3.26 Originally released in 2010, 2025 marks the 15th anniversary of its release. “Nightmare” was the first Avenged Sevenfold album not to feature drummer The Rev after his tragic death. The album is dedicated to his memory and reflects themes of death and despair. Drummer Mike Portnoy stepped in to finish the album’s recordings. This is the fifth full-length album from California metal/hard rock legends Avenged Sevenfold, and is considered by many to be one of the best hard rock and metalcore albums of all time. Combining metal, punk, and hardcore with catchy melodies and powerful guitar solos, the band created their own unique sound and built a devoted fan base that embraced the “Deathbat” symbol — an emblem that has become synonymous with the band and its fan community. The album reached platinum status in the United States and Canada, and gold status in the United Kingdom. It includes the hits Nightmare and Welcome to the Family — with “Nightmare” reaching No. 1 on the Active Rock chart and No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 (the band’s most successful song to date). Songs from the album have been featured in games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, Rock Band and Rocksmith, as well as several other films and video games. To mark the 15th anniversary of the influential album, the band — now bigger than ever — is embarking on a massive world tour of 15,000-20,000-capacity venues. Winners of the Golden Gods Awards, Loudwire and Kerrang! are reissuing the album “Nightmare” in new vinyl versions in special colors. For fans of bands such as: Slipknot, Disturbed, System of a Down, My Chemical Romance, Metallica. Vinyl color: Purple with Black Splatter
