Three friends from Jamaica, all of whom had polio as children, met in a rehabilitation center – and together found a completely different frequency: a frequency of hope, faith, and truth. Thus was born the band Israel Vibration – a cornerstone of roots reggae. Why “Israel”? In the Rastafari world, “Israel” is not the name of a country – but of a people that represents justice, spirit, and roots. They saw themselves as part of the lost tribes of Israel – not just metaphorically, but literally. The frequency they broadcast to the world was “Israel Vibration”.
