Disney's story of a lovable alien named Stitch and his adventures in Hawaii with a girl named Lilo will win the heart of any elementary school student with a shred of self-respect, but the film's soundtrack seems (wisely) aimed squarely at their parents. Beyond a few Hawaiian songs that add local flavor and some realistic orchestral pieces by popular film composer Alan Silvestri, this disc is dedicated to the catalog of the King of Rock and Roll himself. While some of the songs are original recordings by Elvis himself – from his rebellion days with "Hound Dog" to his Las Vegas days with "Suspicious Minds" – other artists perform remastered versions of his songs. A*Teens' teen-pop version won't make anyone forget the version of (anyone remember?) Lick the Tins from the 1987 soundtrack to the film "Some Kind of Wonderful," and certainly not the original. However, Wynonna delivers a cutting and soulful rendition of "Burning Love," as expected. And it's important to remember: You can never listen to "Heartbreak Hotel" too many times.
