Release Date: 24.7.2026 Nia Archives returns with Emotional Junglist, an album about love – but not just the romantic and glamorous parts of it. The album was written throughout 2025 – a year in which Nia fell in love, and then also came out of love in a particularly painful way – and each song on it expresses a different aspect of that experience. It is her biggest sonic leap yet: her alternative-jungle sound, formed alongside James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Blur), Ethan P. Flynn (FKA Twigs, David Byrne) and Julia Michaels (Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter), combines soft and dreamy indie-pop with 90s-style electronics, all supported by syncopated beats and heavy bass lines from her jangly roots. The tracklist also includes collaborations with George Smith and Sampa. The album's motif is an oyster – hard on the outside, but through pressure, maturation and resilience, something precious is built inside. In reference to the female form, its spiral structure also symbolizes growth and self-development.
